GENERAL INFORMATION
AGE DETERMINATION
The age group your child participates in is determined by his/her age on the
opening day of the season. Children are allowed to move up in an age
category. However, they are not allowed to move down except for extreme
circumstances. No exceptions.
COACHES
Our volunteer coaches are certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches
Association (NYSCA). Each coach is CPR and First Aid Certified.
PHYSICALS
All youth sports participants are required to have an annual physical. Call
the Family Medical Clinic to make an appointment for a sports physical.
YOUTH SPORTS ADVISORY BOARD
Youth Sports Advisory Board meeting’s are held each quarter. These meetings
are to discuss topics and issues about youth sports. We encourage all
parents interested in youth sports to become members of this Advisory Board.
YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS
We have a First Steps
Sports program for
3-4 year olds in T-ball and Soccer
BASKETBALL
Registration for basketball begins in October. The basketball season starts in December and ends in February. Age groups for this sport are: 3-4 (First Steps); 5-7; 8-10; 11-13. We also offer a traveling Junior Varsity (11-14) and Varsity (15/16/17) teams. Ages 10 & under games are played in the Youth Center gym, ages 11 & up play at the fitness center gym.
SPRING SOCCER
Registration for Spring Soccer begins in January. The spring soccer season
runs March - April. Our age groups are: 3-4 (First Steps); 5-7; 8-10; 11-14.
Games are played on the field off of Independence Dr. adjacent to the
Columbus Club.
BASEBALL/COACH PITCH/T-BALL
Registration begins in March. Age groups are 3-4 (First Steps), 5-6
(T-Ball), 7-8 (Coach Pitch) 9-11 (Baseball). Season begins in May and ends
in June. Games are played at the little league fields on base.
FALL SOCCER
Registration for Fall Soccer begins in July. The soccer season runs
September - November. Our age groups are: 3-4 (First Steps); 5-7; 8-10;
11-14. Games are played on the field off of Independence Dr. adjacent to the
Columbus Club.
