YOUTH SPORTS ADVISORY BOARD
It is our goal to provide the best Sports Program and activities to the
Youth of CAFB. The Youth Sports Advisory Board serves as a streamline way to
enhance the program, and consists of parents, coaches, and officials.
Meetings are held quarterly, and all parents are welcome to attend to share
suggestions, ideas, concerns, etc.

WHAT IT TAKES…
- Fill out the
Coaching
Application and return to the Youth Center at 386 Imes St.
- Complete the
National Youth Sports
Coaching Association (NYSCA) training which will be set up and
paid for by the Youth Sports Director
- Attend a coaches meeting for required
training and info
- If not already certified, a
certification course for First Aid and CPR will be scheduled and paid
for by the Youth Center!
WILL YOU HAVE TIME???
- All of our coaches are volunteers who
have jobs, families, and other obligations.
- Because of this we do everything in
our power to work around your schedule!
- Typically practices and games are
Monday-Friday between the hours of 1730- 2030, and only 2 events are
scheduled per week. (ex. 2 games/2 practices/ or 1 of each)
REGISTRATION
Registration information is advertized in the Buzz,
Silverwings, and throughout all base marquees. You can also follow us 24

PHYSICALS
IAW AFMAN 34-804 Section 7.1
All youth sports participants are required to have an annual physical. The
physical must be on file with the Youth Center AT THE TIME OF
REGISTRATION, and it must be current for the entire sport season.
“Wellness Checks” done at the base clinic are now accepted
as a Sport Physical, and are held to the same requirements as mentioned
above.
In the event that the base clinic is unable to complete a Sport
Physical/Wellness Check in time for registration, you can contact one of the
following local doctors to have a physical completed.
Lowndes Medical will do physicals on a walk-in basis after school or
on weekends. Cost is $25 per physical.
- Dr. Sykes' office (327-8410)
will do physicals by appointment only.
Cost is $20 per physical.
- Family Medical Clinic, Hwy 45
N (328-9623) will do physicals on a walk-in basis.
Cost is $25 per physical.
- Children's Health
Center, Lehmberg Rd (329-2955) will do physicals by appointment only.
Cost is $25 per physical.

Seasons are 6 weeks long and the cost is only $35. Every
athlete will receive a team T-shirt, and a small award
at the closing ceremonies

START SMART
We offer the ‘Start Smart’ program for 3-4 year olds for
most of our Sport Seasons. This is a fantastic program
that requires a parent/guardian to actively participate
during the once a week practice that lasts 45-60
minutes. This is a 6 week experience and the cost is
only $25! Each child will receive a team T-shirt and a
small award at the closing ceremonies!
