Riding Club

WELCOME TO THE MAGNOLIA RIDING CLUB
COLUMBUS AFB, MISSISSIPPI

Magnolia Riding Club is located in a wooded, serene setting. It was built in an area surrounded by wildlife for all to enjoy. We have many species of birds, deer, wild turkey, and the occasional armadillo that will always get the horse’s attention. We are a facility that can stall up to 16 horses, each with its own paddock. We have 5 pastures, a large arena, round pen, wash rack, and a newly constructed quarantine facility with 2 stalls with adjoining paddocks.

Our stable is a NAF facility and maintained by the members with money from our monthly fees. The cost for boarding a horse is $40.00 per month. Membership fee is $10.00 per month per family. Feed and all medical treatments are at the expense of the owner.

All arriving horses must be checked into quarantine by one of the club officers for a period of 14 days. The horse(s) must have a current health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian along with a current vaccination record with all vaccinations being administered greater that 14 days by a licensed veterinarian. The required Columbus AFB entry vaccinations consist of a negative Coggins test not more than 60-days old and de-worming within 30-days prior to bringing the horse on-base. In addition, the Rhinopneumonitis and Influenza immunizations must be less than 6 months old, and the Rabies, Tetanus, and Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis immunizations must be less than 1 year old.

There are many acres surrounding the stable with lakes and trails to enjoy hours of riding. Our club enjoys the occasional barbecue or fun-day in the arena.
